2025: Our Year in Action

At Pride Foundation, our work has always been rooted in responding to the needs of our LGBTQ+ community—especially during moments of uncertainty and challenge. Last week, we gathered virtually for our Year in Action webinar, an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments we made together in 2024, reflect on the current landscape, and share the steps we’re taking to support LGBTQ+ people across the Northwest.

The webinar also provided a look at how we are preparing to confront ongoing threats to LGBTQ+ people while continuing to build a future that affirms and protects everyone in our community. Whether you attended live or couldn’t make it, we’re excited to share some of the key takeaways and highlights from this impactful conversation:

Key Highlights and Takeaways

  • Community Engagement
    • The 2024 Season of Tend saw over 400 people attend five in-person events across our region raising $270,000 to support our LGBTQ+ community across the Northwest and redistributing $70,000 back to the LGBTQ+ community through vendor partnerships and contracts.
    • Our Season of Gratitude and Action saw donations from 231 individuals—including 17 new donors and 40 reactivated donors resulting in $200,000 of unrestricted donations and over $315,600 to support our 2025 scholarships program
  • Programs
    • In 2024, we received over 190 applications for our Community Grants program—the most in Pride Foundation history.

    • We awarded 106 grantees including 42 organizations who will receive 2-year grants and 64 organizations who will receive 3-year grants, for a grand total of $2,732,000 distributed to grantees over the next three years.

    • These initiatives include launching a responsive fund, launching communities of practice cohorts, developing resource lists, offering capacity-building support, conducting and sharing research, and increasing awareness and sharing resources.
